Biography

“Living the Dream” is his mantra, and the Hollywood half of the doubles-playing Jensen Brothers has always been an entertaining character both on and off the court. On the court, Murphy Jensen teamed with brother Luke to win the 1993 French Open doubles title, and four other ATP titles during their careers. Off the court, Murphy appeared in several films, including the 2004 hit movie Wimbledon starring Kirsten Dunst, and he also hosted the travel show “Murph’s Guide” as well as “Open Access” on the Tennis Channel. In 2009 after a 10-year World Team Tennis playing career, the USC grad joined the Washington Kastles as coach and has led the franchise to the last five World Team Tennis titles. Jensen is director of tennis at Georgia’s five-star Sea Island Resort where he operates the Murphy Jensen Tennis Academy.
