Biography

On the heels of starring in Janet Jackson’s 1989 “Love Will Never Do (Without You)” music video, the Italian-born Antonio Sabato Jr. went on to become one of the world’s top models. In 1990, he overlooked Times Square from a 90-ft. billboard dressed only in Calvin Klein briefs, marking one of the most popular advertising campaigns in history. He enjoyed a three-year run on daytime soap General Hospital (1993-95) as “Jagger Cates” and later played “Dante Damiano” on the CBS’ daytime drama The Bold and Beautiful (2005 -2006). Sabato also had roles on primetime shows including Melrose Place, Earth 2, Ally McBeal, Charmed and the movie The Big Hit. Sabato reprised the role of “Cates” in 2008 in the cable spinoff General Hospital: Night Shift, and in 2009 won Best Actor Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for his lead role in the serial killer feature Drifter: The Henry Lee Lucas Story. Sabato won NBC’s Celebrity Circus competition (2008) and Fox’s diving special Stars in Danger (2014) and finished 8th in Dancing With The Stars (2014). He currently hosts the syndicated 30-minute daily remodeling show Fix It & Finish It. An avid tweeter with more than 800,000 followers, he is married to singer-songwriter Cheryl Moana Marie and lives in Los Angeles. He was a 1994 choice for People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” issue.
