Jesse Levine

Jesse Levine won five career Challenger titles in eight finals, and reached a career-high No. 69 in 2012 before an elbow injury prematurely ended his career. The Ottawa-born lefty reached the Houston doubles final in 2009, and represented the US in Davis Cup competition (2007–2012) before becoming eligible to play for Canada in 2013. Levine put together a 24-1 freshman-record All-American season (2006-07) at the University of Florida where he was named National Rookie of the Year. He was 21-0 in regular season dual matches, and reached the NCAA quarterfinals. Levine won the 2001 USTA Clay Court 14 Nationals singles title as a 13-year-old, the boys’ 16s doubles title at age 16, and the 2005 Junior Wimbledon doubles title at 17. He also reached the 2005 Junior Wimbledon singles quarterfinal. Levine coaches WTA player Jessica Pegula and also spent nearly a year coaching Madison Keys. He works as a talent scout for Nike, and as a TV analyst for Canadian broadcaster Sportsnet. Levine was inducted into the Ottawa Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in June of 2017.
