Biography

Gavin Rossdale is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the award-winning rock band Bush. Bush’s first album, Sixteen Stone (1994) was a huge commercial success and the band went on to reach superstar status in the US. After the band split in 2002, Rossdale formed Institute in 2004 and then went solo in 2008. A Bush reunion produced the 2011 The Sea of Memories album with the “The Sound of Winter” hitting No.1 on alternative radio. The band released Man on the Run and the single “The Only Way Out” in 2014. Rossdale has dabbled in acting, and his role in the 2005 film Constantine playing the “Villain Balthazar” was one of several in which he appeared during the decade. He made guest appearances in a 2009 episode of the TV series “Criminal Minds,” and in the 100th episode of “Hawaii Five-O” in 2014.

Rossdale portrayed “Ricky,” a seedy club promoter, in the 2013 satirical crime film The Bling Ring.
